John Sullivan is Of Counsel who brings 30+ years of law firm and in-house counsel experience in various capacities managing litigation and compliance. John is the Founder of America First Athletes™, a new brand of sports agency.  We at Binnall Law Group are uniquely positioned to help bridge opportunities with our network of America First patriots. John strategically positioned America First Athletes™ to focus equally on the character of the person and the skills of the athlete to maximize their brand and value not only now, but also the day the uniform comes off for the final time.  John’s vision for the Mission Statement and Core Values promotes patriotism and unity as Americans while rejecting forces of division.  We emphasize a virtuous life well lived by a strong moral code and family values.  We champion athletes who engage with and uplift communities meaningfully and mentor our youth. They are watching and will emulate their heroes.  A self-effectuating process, generationally, will emerge over time contributing toward our client, President Donald Trump’s, goal of an America Made Great Again.

Prior to joining Binnall Law Group, John was the first General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Project Veritas in New York managing investigative journalism, media, non-profit organizations, and board governance. The harvester of hundreds of retractions from journalists internationally, John spearheaded offensive efforts against defamation, fueling the Retracto series of video releases and worked with the team to combat, and defeat, censorship of any ideology. In tandem with outside counsel, John implemented Project Veritas’ initial efforts with brave whistleblowers and insiders. Many patriots in the government and private sector felt compelled to come forward and expose waste, fraud, corruption and self-dealing in their organizations. Project Veritas helped them reveal the truth for the betterment of an informed society as protected newsgathering mandated by the Supreme Court in Bartnicki v. Vopper.

The weaponization of the Biden Department of Justice against perceived political enemies prompted otherwise adversarial organizations, such as the ACLU, Reporters Committee For Freedom of the Press and Washington Post, among others, to rally in support of Project Veritas in First Amendment solidarity following the unconstitutional raids of its journalists’ homes over Ashley Biden’s diary. The Biden DOJ’s selective overreach against journalism made the matter a focus of the House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. John enjoyed coordinating with them and remains passionate about advancing truth, accountability and transparency.  Ultimately, justice prevailed as the facts, evidence and law compelled the DOJ to abandon its unconstitutional campaign of persecuting Project Veritas.

While at John Hancock in Boston for 17 years, John was Assistant Vice President & Counsel during which he was part of managing a $1 billion book of complex London Market spiral reinsurance run-off business against English companies in London and Bermuda. John also managed life, LTC and insurance fraud matters and was part of managing enterprise-wide initiatives for the largest insurer in North America and fourth largest in the world at that time.

A native of Hawaii, John is a 1988 graduate of the University of Hawaii in Honolulu where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree before earning his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University in 1991. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Hawaii and Massachusetts, as well before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
